Unlike normal hair rig set-ups, these things come ready made in a packet, and all you have to do is tie them on to the end of your hooklength. There's no messing about tying fiddly hairs, and you can never loose the bait stop, because it is permanently attached.
The device is made by taking a strong, forged, eyed hook and whipping on a fine braid loop to form a hair.
The hair runs through a Korum Quickstop, a small, wedge-shaped piece of clear plastic which has a solid point at one end and a recess at the other.
You have to insert a special Korum Quickstop Needle (price 99p) into the recess and then push the Quickstop right through soft baits like mini boilies, meat, corn, cheese or cat meat.
The Quickstop automatically swivels to 90 degrees to the angle of penetration when you remove the needle, effectively locking the bait in place on the hair.
