We all know just how good halibut pellets are on the hook for every species from barbel and chub to carp, tench and bream but they are not the most user friendly of hook baits. At Sonubaits we thought about this long and hard and as a result have created what we believe to be the ultimate halibut pellet hookbait.
Not only do the Hali-Hookers contain 50% more oil than a standard halibut pellet (squeeze them and see!) but they are also baiting needle and hook friendly so they can be used straight on the hook or hair rigged without the need for drilling. Not only that but they will also withstand distance and regular re-casting and won’t break down to a mush around your hook!
Loaded with secret blend of fish-friendly attractants and light and heavy fish oils the Hali-Hookers create an unrivalled underwater attraction in cold or warm water which fish actively seek out. Used as single hookbaits, fished over a bed of Fin Perfect groundbait or standard Sonubaits halibut pellets they are instantly attractive to all species great and small.
The 11mm versions are terrific big fish baits and already have an outstanding track record with carp, bream and barbel whilst the smaller 4, 6 and 8mm versions are ideal for loosefeeding, perking up groundbait or as the ultimate soft pellet hookbait for all species on pole, waggler or feeder gear.
Tips on how to use:
Waggler fishing-
The Hali-Hooker, like the S-Pellet, is perfect for use with the waggler straight out of the packet.
Slightly tougher than the S-Pellet it stands up to casting even better and is the perfect waggler hook bait to use over a bed of our Halibut Pellets. Timed release of oils and attractants pull the fish to the bait over and above any other feed signals in the water making it an outstanding all round bait.
Feeder Fishing-
The feeder is the ideal tactic to get the best from Hali-Hookers.
Needle friendly yet toughened to withstand casting Hali-Hookers are the perfect pellet hook bait to use with Method or open-ended feeders and our field testers have had great success with a number of species including carp, tench, bream and barbel.
Like the S-Pellets the Hali-Hookers actively pull fish to the bait and with controlled release of the active ingredients the bait keeps working for you whether you are casting regularly to build up a feed area or sitting it out.
For big hits of bream try 11mm Hali-Hookers in conjunction with scalded Halibut Pellets moulded around a Method feeder.
Pole Fishing-
Just like the S-Pellets the Hali-Hookers are also perfectly suited to use with a pole.
Straight out of the packet and onto the hook makes Hali-Hookers quick and convenient to use with the pole, just like the S-Pellets.
The tough coating keeps the pellet on the hook no matter how often you lift into bites yet they are soft enough that they are not going to impede hooking. Perfect attraction for all species the Hali-Hookers have a particularly good track record with carp and are equally effective up in the water on on the deck.
